Overland Park House Painters: The Top Five Reasons to Hire a Professional House Painter
The Top Five Reasons to Hire a Professional House Painter
In the economic downturn, some homeowners are considering taking on house painting tasks that they never would have considered before. Homeowners who insist on painting their own home often realize afterward that it was not such a great idea after all.
When you take a look at the painting that you've done before on your home, and notice the signs of the paint chipping or a job poorly done, the difference between your work and that of an experienced professional house painter becomes all too clear.
Here are five reasons why it is still wise to hire a professional to paint your home:
1) Professional equipment and state of the art technology - If you own a paint sprayer, you know how hard it is to clean it after use and how hard it is to keep the nozzle working properly. Professional painters have invested in commercial grade equipment that few homeowners would think of purchasing.
2) Thorough prep work - You've tried in the past..... you already know that the prep work is the toughest part of the job. Thoroughly sanding the area, repairing holes, scraping, un-doing old problems such as old paint drips..... do-it-yourself painters often cut corners and lose patience.
3) Standardized results - Your professional painter will see to it that there is uniformity in color and quality to his work. Every area of your home will receive the same attention to detail and the same standard of excellence. Your professional painter will not cut corners just because one area of your home is less visible to the neighbors.
4) Help in deciding the color and the type of the paint - Your professional painter has years of experience at helping homeowners with color and paint choices. It's like having the 'paint knowledge library' right in your own home. He knows which colors are in style, which colors help in selling homes, and which colors are cool and which are warm. Your painter knows the reputation and warranty for each brand of paint, which ones cover in one coat, which ones resist mold and mildew, which paints have low odor, etc.
5) Experience and skilled workers - Your painter will arrive at your home with his experienced crew. Your painter has been coaching and teaching his workers on all the jobs completed before yours. This is a team that has worked together to improve their results for months and years before painting your home.

Overland Park House Painters: Integrity
All too often, when someone is accepting bids for the painting of their home, they get tunnel vision; they only ask questions about the quality of the workmanship, but forget to inquire about them people who will be doing the work.
Integrity is the foundation of any solid business. Anyone...even a less than ethical person-can learn to do a neat and tidy paint application. However, when you consider the fact, that these painters will be spending time on your property, caring for the home that you are so proud of, you would do well to have a team of painters who are magnificent craftsmen AND stellar human beings.
Overland Park House Painters have a reputation, and we only work with the finest painters; painters who are well rounded as a person, as they are as a painter.
Remember, it won't be a robot that paints your home (maybe someday), it will be someone who smiles, or doesn't, someone who is friendly, or isn't, and someone who will go the extra mile, or won't. It's not just about the preparation and paint application, but also includes the experience you will have with the people who do the work. Make your experience a good one!
